ReflectionsThe Value of a Short Reflection
Some of the most meaningful thoughts don't arrive during long conversations or after reading another book.
Read the storyAt the end of the evening, after the healing events, guests approach me and ask various questions.

It seems that the number one question is ''This must drain you doing what you're doing?’’
No is the simple no fluff honest answer. I'm not drained. But I think it's useful to put this is in to context.
I have a business model that I've worked hard for over the past 20+ years and it works very well. There's been a temptation in the past to do too much of what I love doing i.e. seeing too many clients or running too many groups because the demand was there and I wanted to meet that demand. The flip side of that was being completely knackered!!
Burnout is real, believe me and I have tons of examples where I've bypassed my gut feelings and then paid the price physically and emotionally for it. Trust me there were many many times I've thought '''whoa Jules what you doing??!!'' and I've had to take a step back and re evaluate what I was doing.
Of course I'm older now and wiser. So going back to the question ''This must drain you doing what you're doing?'' Nope it doesn't.
I employ a gorgeous young girl to quickly prepare the healing space. The room is prepared and all I have to do is conserve my energy to prepare the healing space energetically for the events. All my event materials, bowls etc etc are stored at the venue.
I bring in guest facilitators and pay them for their support. This isn't collaboration, my business model is about deliberate choice to bring in these facilitators who have greatly enhanced my work and my life.
With this support in place I'm then in a position to fully hold the space for my guests, working intuitively and giving healing. It also means that Camilla, for example, stays at her best.
I now work a 4 day week, not because I'm doing less but because I'm working more effectively. This is what sustainability looks like for me and it's taken years of listening to my body to make this happen.
Oh the number 2 question btw is ''oo what's in this tea?'' Camilla's an absolute pro at answering this one!! Thank you Camilla for being the brilliant healer that you are at Positive Vibes. Mel will also be joining us again soon and I can't wait for that!!!
