ReflectionsThe Value of a Short Reflection
Some of the most meaningful thoughts don't arrive during long conversations or after reading another book.
Read the storyAlthough Intuitive Direction & Development is a new name within my practice, the work behind it isn't new at all.

Some years ago, I ran different groups from home and different venues. One venue was a fabulous space where I held two weekly Meet Up groups supporting people to explore their personal and professional development, their ideas for the future and some of the things that might be getting in their way.
One young man I worked with particularly stayed in my mind.
He was very creative and entrepreneurial and loved coming up with new ideas, partnerships and ventures. He was very good at getting things started but there was a pattern. Once something began to develop he would leave it and move on to his next idea.
During one of our group sessions, I had a strong sense that he wasn't frightened of failure, he was actually frightened of success.
So one week we explored this together and as the session developed I also became aware of what felt like a real discomfort around money. Instead of simply talking about it I wanted to see what happened when we worked with this more directly.
💰I put several notes, around £60, into his hand.
His discomfort was immediately visible and he dropped the money on to the table. I gently placed the money back into his hand and then incorporated energy work, guiding him through a visualisation while he held the money and working with initially one of his chakra centres and then worked up to two. During the exercise I could see a change taking place in his response.
By the end he was able to hold the same money without the discomfort seen at the beginning.
What I remember about that session was the way different aspects of my work came together naturally and quickly. Talking, observing, intuition, energy work and guided visualisation in response to what was actually happening for the guy in front of me.
As part of my work with the group, I also ran a vision board workshop. Again it wasn't simply about cutting out pictures of things people wanted. I incorporated guided visualisation, intention setting, energy healing and sound healing, helping people explore not only what they wanted to create, but what those ideas represented for them and what might support them in moving towards them.
🔑 The young man moved to Lincoln that same month and has subsequently done very well for himself. I wouldn't attribute somebody's later achievements to one session or workshop because those achievements are his own, but I've always remembered the change I witnessed while working with him.
Looking back this is a really good example of what I now call Intuitive Direction & Development.
Today I work individually with people from all sectors and walks of life.
And you don't need to actually know what the problem is!
Depending on what emerges, an Intuitive Direction & Development session might include professional reflection and practical discussion, intuitive or psychic information, guided visualisation, energy work, oracle cards as a reflective tool or simply looking at your skills and experience from a completely different perspective.
The aim is to look at where you are, what may be getting in the way, what you already have to work with and where you might go next.
