ReflectionsThe Value of a Short Reflection
Some of the most meaningful thoughts don't arrive during long conversations or after reading another book.
Read the storyThe events I've created over the years have introduced many people to my work. One of the unexpected pleasures has been seeing how often guests experience an event and subsequently start working with me privately on a one-to-one basis.

In a room of people I create an experience and that’s my joy. I can work simultaneously in a group setting with many people and sense and see the energy of each guest and give hands on healing or send healing from a distance if I’m sitting on a mat for example and can easily scan the room and see what’s going on for each guest.
✦ I see colours, sense spirit, guided by spirit, work psychically, see physical ailments etc. With one client on a private basis I can follow on from what has been presenting when I’ve seen them in the group and work with them more intimately.
And increasingly that's where some of the most interesting aspects of my work are emerging.
So what happens when I take what I'm developing in my own consciousness and allow it to inform the practitioner I already am?
This is a question grabbing my curiosity at the moment.
I've always worked intuitively, it isn't something I've recently discovered or something I'm trying to learn how to do it’s just who I am. For most of my professional life I've been aware of information behind or underneath what’s taking place with the person in front of me.
What’s changed is my willingness to trust what I receive and use it more openly with clients.
✦ In counselling I'm taking in several layers of information at once. I'm listening to what somebody tells me, but I'm also reading their body language, noticing changes in their energy and language, recognising patterns through years of clinical experience and paying attention to what I'm sensing intuitively.
I’m very visual so I can see their lives playing out in front of me. Sometimes I'm already aware of an underlying issue before we've reached it verbally.
My mediumistic work as a healing medium has strengthened that trust as well. I've become a lot more comfortable with receiving something without analysing it and trusting myself enough to give what I get when it feels appropriate. I’m still working on the ‘trust what I get bit’!!
This way of working is changing how openly I allow the spiritual dimension of my work to sit alongside my therapeutic and healing work.
✦ I notice a similar precision when I'm healing. My attention can be drawn very specifically to an area of the head, neck, spine or body rather than just experiencing a general sense of energy.
That's one reason I've been so interested in the cranial nerves. If I'm repeatedly drawn somewhere I want to know more about what's actually going on under my hands and how different structures relate to one another.
This is where my current study of the healing course Radiance becomes relevant for me.
Having already worked extensively with the Light Body centres last year, I'm now exploring finer frequencies such as Vision, Precision, Intensity and Clarity as another way of exploring and refining abilities that are already part of the way I work.
✦ The frequency of Precision, for example, creates a bridge for me between several things that fascinate me: anatomy and the cranial nerves, being drawn to particular points in the head, neck and body during healing, recognising quickly when something important sits underneath what a client is telling me and becoming far more discerning about intuitive and spiritual information.
The frequency of Vision is interesting because this is what I see working with people and there are the images, colour and what physical ailments the colours are highlighting for me and symbols and impressions that land intuitively.
For example I sometimes see faces, figures, animals or scenes in patterns on the wall, floor, wood grain, clouds or stone. It’s great as I can also see the emotion in those images, I learnt that’s called pareidolia.
✦ These different forms of information contribute to my understanding of what's presenting itself in my client.
Clarity for me is about discernment i.e what am I observing clinically? What am I reading through the body? What am I sensing energetically? What has arrived intuitively? What may be spiritual information? And what is simply mine? The more sensitive the work becomes the more important that distinction feels.
The frequency of Intensity is something I'm still exploring. I'm interested in it in terms of the concentration and quality of consciousness I bring to the person I'm working with.
That's what excites me about this stage of my work. I'm taking my abilities, my knowledge and my experience that have developed over many years and asking myself what becomes possible when I bring them together with even greater awareness and precision.
☀️ I love my work, I’m hugely passionate about my work and I’m very aware that as long as I act on my passion I bring exciting new ways of working to me.
New paths appear, working becomes a joy and I work with ease. The moment I feel any resistance is the moment I change.
